Camp Lutherhoma
Nestled among 120 acres of beautiful northeastern Oklahoma countryside along the Illinois River, Camp Lutherhoma is a place where adventure, faith, and community come together. Located just east of Tahlequah, our camp has been welcoming children, families, churches, and retreat groups for generations to experience the beauty of God's creation and the hope found in Jesus Christ.
Owned and operated by the Oklahoma District of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, Camp Lutherhoma exists to nurture discipleship in Jesus Christ through outdoor settings that excite believers to share the love of Christ with the world.
For many children, Camp Lutherhoma is where lifelong memories begin. It is a safe and encouraging environment where campers can try new adventures, build meaningful friendships, sing songs around the campfire, and discover that they are deeply known and loved by God. Away from the pressures and distractions of everyday life, young people are invited to ask questions, grow in confidence, and hear the life-changing message that their hope is secure in Jesus Christ.
The adventurous summer camp programs are designed for all ages. Lutherhoma creates opportunities for campers to explore, serve, worship, and play together. Throughout the year, our facilities also host retreats for churches, families, schools, and community groups to rest in a setting surrounded by God's creation.
Just an hour and a half from Tulsa and approximately three hours from Oklahoma City, Camp Lutherhoma offers a chance to step away from the busyness of life.
Whether you're sending your child to camp for the very first time, gathering with your church family, planning a retreat, or simply looking for a place to encounter God's peace in the beauty of the outdoors, we invite you to visit Camp Lutherhoma.
We can't wait to see you around the campfire.
